Personagens fortes Shin Hyun, também conhecido como o Filho do Doutor é o personagem mais complicado da história. Ele é um dos traficantes mais importantes e segue ordens do atual chefão Scale, quando finalmente decide que vai tomar o poder, então começa uma luta implacável com os chefões do tráfico. Ele é homem frio, que passou por inúmeras dificuldades desde criança. Até os dias atuais ele é um dos que mais sofre nessa “guerra”. É o protagonista da história que com uma atuação brilhante conquista o público rapidamente. Seu melhor amigo é Kim Hyun-Soo, que também é um traficante mas tem uma personalidade totalmente diferente da dele. Hyun Soo é o famoso garanhão e que sempre quer logo partir pra briga, tanto que tem umas dez vidas no dorama, esse cara apanha muito. Junto com o time do Filho do Doutor, também temos a mulher mais sensacional da história, a Lee Jin-Sook, também conhecida como “tia” do Filho do Doutor. Ela cuidou dele após a morte da sua mãe e faz de tudo por ele. Ela é uma mulher poderosa que também tem muita influência e controle do tráfico. Ela é inteligente e sabe como fazer negociações, também sabe ser cruel, fria e ao mesmo tempo simpática e amiga. Tio Safari é um dos traficantes mais intrigantes, ele é um personagem que todo episódio aparece uma informação nova e a gente não sabe mais se ama ou odeia. Ele também é genial e sabe como lidar com as situações mais difíceis. Agora vamos falar dos policiais, começando pelo Ji Hyeong-Min, que é um policial incrível. Não é como os policiais bobos que vemos em alguns doramas. O cara é esperto, um baita detetive e que não deixa nada barato, quer fazer justiça a todo custo e como consequência, um dos que mais se prejudicava. Han Soo-Min, é a personagem feminina que mais se destaca na história em questão de amadurecimento, ela também está atrás do Filho do Doutor para fazer vingança, e para isso, ela se infiltra no meio dos traficantes e vive experiências terríveis. É importante ressaltar que inúmeras surpresas irão surgir no meio da trama. E quando achamos que finalmente sabemos quem é o chefão, aparece outro cara que na verdade é o chefão, e não se engane com a polícia. Alias, não se engane com ninguém, há gente infiltrada por todo lugar. Mais uma prova de como tudo é diferente nessa série, os roteiristas não tem dó de ninguém. Há muitas mortes e muita gente apanhando muito da vida. Chega um ponto da série, que a mente começa a dar nó, não sabemos mais quem é quem, quem vai fazer o que, o que vai acontecer agora, principalmente quando acontecem aquelas cenas que pensamos “já era, ferrou tudo!” Sobre o romance, já aviso que quase não há romance. Ele é bem singelo e é ótimo, porque a história consegue abordar ação, intrigas, suspense e drama com uma pitada de romance de um modo tão único e ao mesmo tempo genial. E por fim, vou comentar rapidamente que esse dorama teve um dos melhores finais que já vi na minha vida. E é o meu segundo no ranking de finais. 😉 Eu adorava as cenas de luta, de armas, de sangue. Tudo combinou perfeitamente. Esse drama foi transmitido em uma emissora que pouca gente conhece, e foi o primeiro dorama que vi dessa emissora. They both have unconventional protagonists who are criminals/involved in the underground criminal world and deal with organized crime, are filled with action, and contain interesting plot twists throughout the series. both drama revolves around undercover operations and jung kuyng ho plays in both. written by the same writer, both dramas are filled with action and the dark side of the society. my beautiful bride is more a romance and is more of a single man show, where as cruel city makes you root for more than one single character. in my opinion cruel city has a much more superior storyline but my beautiful bride is also a worthwhile watch. Introduction of a younger female lead who is more innocent and serves as romantic interest. Both action dramas with breathtaking fighting scenes and all. Lee Min looks hella sexy just like Jung Kyung Ho <3 Kill it gives me that same angsty dark vibed crime genre. Both male leads are not a simple good or bad type? And both female leads are cops and strong They are both thriller, suspense and a noir drama. The male lead was also accused of committing a crime that he didn't do. He was similarly fighting against a powerful villain who wants him eradicated. The male lead is to boot an orphan like the male lead in Big Mouth. Not even close to the same kind of drama but two actors are in this drama as they are in falling for innocence. Revenge plot, hidden identity, struggle of FL to find her place. CC is darker melodrama and NOT as pleasant an ending than HJS but they both have this edgy tone that keeps you tilting on the edge wondering what will happen next. the background and tone are completely different. so you may be surprised at my rec. i don't what it is but i think both dramas share the inrigue and quality that i look for basically same plot just reversed main female lead loses family member because of a drug ring during investigation, she wants revenge and becomes an undercover agent Cruel City is very much inspired by Infernal Affairs and the Hong Kong crime noir. Both show undercover cops loosing themselves in their new identity. Also, the line between right and wrong is blurred for the undercover as well as for the spectator. They both involve crime and both dramas will make you not want to move away from your seat! Both are beautifully made dramas. Also, they don't have much romance in them.
